Feeding Wolves

An old Cherokee was telling his grandson a story about a fight that goes on inside him. He said it is between two wolves.

One

"Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,

self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego."

The other:

"Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The Grandson thought about is for a minute and then asked this Grandfather.

"Which one wins? Grandfather"

The old cherokee simply replied.

" The one I feed"
